What we collect, what we don't, and what happens to it.
In brief
- You don't need an account or any personal details to use the site.
- We use Google Analytics 4 to see, in aggregate, which pages people read.
- The site shows no ads and uses no advertising cookies.
- We don't sell or share personal information.
- If you email us, we keep the thread only as long as we need it.
What's collected automatically
Like any website, our server receives basic request information when you visit: your IP address, the page you asked for, the page you came from, your browser and operating system, and the time. Our host keeps this in standard server logs, which we use to fix problems and block abusive traffic.
Google Analytics 4 also receives information about your visit: pages viewed, approximate location (country or region), device type and how you arrived. Google says GA4 doesn't log or store IP addresses. We've turned off Google Signals and set Google's consent settings to deny advertising storage, so this data isn't used for ad personalisation.
Cookies and local storage
- Analytics cookies. Google Analytics sets cookies named
_gaand_ga_*to count visits and visitors. You can block them in your browser or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on. - Theme setting. If you switch between light and dark mode, your browser remembers the choice in local storage (
la-theme). It never leaves your device.
There are no advertising, social media or cross-site tracking cookies.
If you email us
Emailing hello@lotteryatlas.com is the only way to send us personal information. We use your address and message only to reply, and we delete the thread once the conversation is over, normally within 90 days. There's no newsletter or mailing list.
What we don't do
- Sell, rent or trade personal information.
- Share your email with anyone else.
- Use your information for automated decisions about you.

Your rights
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU GDPR or California's CCPA give you the right to see or delete personal data we hold about you. In practice that means emails you've sent us. Write to hello@lotteryatlas.com and we'll respond within 30 days. To stop analytics collection, use the opt-out add-on above or your browser's tracking protection.
Children
The site is meant for adults of legal lottery age (18, or 19 to 21 in some states). We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has emailed us, let us know and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of the page.
