When is NJ Pick-6 drawn?
The New Jersey Lottery holds Pick-6 drawings every Monday, Thursday and Saturday at approximately 10:57 p.m. Eastern. Ticket sales for each drawing close at 10:53 p.m. Results are on our Pick-6 page.
How to play NJ Pick-6
Choose six numbers from 1 to 46, or ask for a Quick Pick. A play costs $2, and that price includes the XTRA multiplier, which can multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to 10 times. The jackpot starts at a minimum of $2 million (annuity value) and rolls over until someone matches all six. Winners can take the jackpot as a lump sum or an annuity.

The overall odds of winning any prize are 1 in 44.70. The prizes shown are before XTRA; the lottery says some lower-tier amounts are estimates that depend on sales and the number of winners.
Pick-6 Double Play
For another $1, Double Play runs your same six numbers through a second drawing held right after the main one. It has no rolling jackpot; the top prize is $250,000.

Below the top tier, Double Play's base prizes are higher than the main game's. The odds for each tier are the same as the main game, since the same 1–46 matrix is used.
How to play Jersey Cash 5
Pick five numbers from 1 to 45, or take a Quick Pick. Each play costs $2. Drawings are held every night at approximately 10:57 p.m. Eastern. Match all five to win the jackpot, which starts at $150,000 (the starting amount since the game moved to $2 on July 1, 2024) and grows until someone wins it. If more than one ticket matches all five, the jackpot is divided among them. The odds of matching all five are 1 in 1,221,759. Results are on our Jersey Cash 5 page.
What is the Bullseye?
Every $2 Jersey Cash 5 play includes the Bullseye feature. The Bullseye is not an extra ball: under the game rules it is the fifth, and last, of the five numbers drawn. If one of the numbers you match is that Bullseye number, your prize goes up.

So two matching numbers alone win nothing, but two matching numbers that include the Bullseye pay $5. The overall odds of winning a prize are 1 in 25.71. An optional $1 XTRA add-on multiplies these non-jackpot prizes by up to five times.
Which New Jersey game fits what you want?
Pick-6 is the state's own jackpot game. It draws three times a week, starts at $2 million and has jackpot odds of about 1 in 9.4 million. Jersey Cash 5 draws every night with a much smaller top prize, but your chance of hitting it is roughly eight times better. New Jersey claim rules
You have one year from the drawing date to claim a New Jersey draw-game prize; the Jersey Cash 5 game rules spell this out. The lottery withholds 24% federal tax from prizes over $5,000. For state tax, it withholds 5% from prizes over $10,000 up to $500,000 and 8% from prizes over $500,000. New Jersey's top income tax rate is 10.75%, so a large winner may owe more at filing time; see lottery tax rates by state.
