Buying online
A growing number of states sell Powerball through their official lottery apps (iLottery), and licensed courier services operate in others — see our guides to iLottery by state and courier apps. You must be physically in the state to buy, and 18+ (21+ in some states).
Buying in another state
You don't have to live in a state to play there — anyone physically present who meets the age requirement can buy a ticket. Two catches: a winning ticket must be claimed in the state that sold it, and that state's tax withholding applies before your home state's. The details are in buying lottery tickets in another state.
Each state link above shows that state's latest Powerball and local-game results.
